About Castle Alumni Co.Seeking to promote the highest moral, social and intellectual excellence among its members, three undergraduate students founded Psi Upsilon Fraternity at Union College in 1833. Psi Upsilon of Philadelphia was founded in 1887 for three purposes – 1) establishing and overseeing a chapter of Psi Upsilon at the University of Pennsylvania, 2), facilitating lifelong social interaction among alumni of the Tau Chapter of Psi Upsilon, and 3) promoting social activity among Psi Upsilon members in the Philadelphia area. The Tau Chapter of Psi Upsilon was chartered in 1891 and has been true to its mission since. In 1899, the chapter moved into the home we built at 36th and Locust Streets in the heart Penn’s West Philadelphia campus. Over time, the Tau Chapter of Psi Upsilon became known as “The Castle” with the association of its distinctive and now historic home. Ultimately, as the fraternity thrived, Psi Upsilon of expanded mission serving alumni all over the world, Psi Upsilon of Philadelphia now does business as “The Castle Alumni Corp.” Click here to get in touch with us for assistance with the website, event information, and more! |
